Please welcome Michele Russo as the Smithtown Central School District’s new Assistant Administrator for Special Education and Special Services for Pre-School.
Michele joins us after twenty years as a special education teacher and chairperson in the North Babylon Union Free School District.
Michele also was the Alternate Assessment Coordinator at the Robert Moses Middle School, where she managed preparation and administration of the New York State Alternate Assessment (NYSAA) for eligible students.
“I’m looking forward to working with the parents and teachers at the pre-school level to set a strong foundation for the children’s academic education excellence!” Michele tells us.
Michele is married and has two sons, one entering kindergarten and one entering seventh grade.
Michele would also like the community to know about her family’s love for cross-country travel. Her goal is to travel with her family to all fifty states!
