"Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we."

What a job by Smithtown High School West students and faculty on bringing their fundraising total for the year to $72,000 at the Relay for Life fundraising event Saturday. night!

For 12 hours, team members took turns walking around the High School track and each team was asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps.

Back together for the first time due to the pandemic, each team also set up a themed campsite and continued their fundraising efforts by collecting donations for food, goods, games, and activities that go to the American Cancer Society.

Thank you to the amazing event chairs and dedicated students. Special thanks to Alison Kelleher, Madison Hilman, Sophia Mohrmann, Erin Fels, and all Relay teams for all their hard work and dedication to pull off over $72,000 in total donations!
