Congratulations are in order for several Dogwood Elementary students who have been recognized for the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association's Annual Poetry Contest!


Ruby Standfast was named Grand Champion for her Personal Anthology poem.


The students will be recognized at a ceremony on Sunday, May 15th.


Principal Ms. Renee Carpenter, Librarian Ms. Eichenlaub and fifth grade teacher Mrs. Concagh are extremely proud of the student's accomplishments.

Ms. Krug's class anthology titled "A New Beginning" received honorable mention in the class anthology category.
