Students in Lisa Draiss’ second grade class at Tackan Elementary practiced being resourceful as part of their Earth Day project. The students used items that normally would be discarded or recycled to make art.
Students used scraps from other projects and newspapers as their recycled art materials.
They used their imagination, choosing their own topic.
They layered their recycled materials to create a textured appearance.
Some even used watercolors while constructing polar bears, sharks and even a hot air balloon.
