Katherine Fredriksen’s third grade students at Mt. Pleasant Elementary sharpened their paleontology skills on Tuesday afternoon. The students participated in a fossil dig inside their classroom. The activity came at the completion of a lesson on habitats, which include the ocean, rainforest, desert, tropical grasslands and temperate forest. After unearthing fossils in a sand-filled container, students needed to determine from which habitat it came. Objects included snails and corals. Date Added: 4/5/2022
