Several St. James Elementary students in Robyn Koch's fifth grade class entered a math poster contest sponsored by the Association of Math Teachers of New York State. The posters were viewed by many mathematics teachers at the 71st AMTNYS annual meeting in November. This year’s theme was Building Mathematical Minds for the Future.
Lauren Kruse won first place for her poster entered in the elementary division. Joseph Volante received a second-place certificate. And Anna Gucciardi was recognized as a third-place winner.
Each winner received a certificate, ribbon and gift card.
