It was a lesson in fairy tale favorites as students in Kimberly Passamonte’s second grade class at Mills Pond Elementary School studied the different versions of “Cinderella” from all around the world.
During their unit of study, the class read various “Cinderella” stories from different countries. The students made dioramas depicting a scene to highlight their favorite Cinderella around the world story. They wrote coordinating opinion essays to correspond to their chosen story and had to provide reasons why it was their favorite.
As a culminating activity, the students created FlipGrid videos reading their essays and explaining the scenes in their dioramas.
