September 2005
Dear Parents,
The attached pamphlet outlines the
basic guidelines and school rules that govern this institution we call Mt.
Pleasant Elementary School. Although much of the information contained in this
pamphlet is typically viewed as "expected behavior" that takes place
in most elementary schools throughout the nation, I felt it to be extremely
important for parents and children to review such expectations together at home
in an open dialogue scenario.
The home to school connection is a key factor in enabling
student to become successful, responsible and caring citizens. As children
eventually become our future leaders of society, the responsibility of educating
our youth along the way falls on the shoulders of parents and teachers. It is a
task that is both challenging and inspiring.
On another note, regarding the Picking Up of Walkers:
Parents who are picking up children at the end of the day
are requested to arrive at the door, adjacent to the basketball court, no
earlier than 3:25 p.m. We ask this to enable our physical education
classes heading back into the building a clear path, free of congestion.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
Sincerely,
Diane Trupia
Principal
