The 17th annual Female Power Brunch was hosted by the Smithtown Central School District, in conjunction with the Smithtown Industry Advisory Board’s Career Center and Smithtown Central School District’s Career and Technical Education Department, in the library of Smithtown High School West on March 15.

Approximately 70 business-minded female students from both high schools were in attendance to listen to the two dozen female guest speakers of the day. Prior to the start of the guest speaker sessions, the students had a meet and greet with members of the Career Tracks Committee, mentors and guest speakers.

During three different sessions, the students learned about the speakers and mentors, their career path and interests. Speakers shared their messages after the networking brunch, where guests and students came together to talk about their college and career goals. Guest speakers touched on a wide range of topics and included a variety of career paths including a CEO, college president, advertising manager, digital media manager, risk consultant and business owners.
