East Artists Featured in Local Exhibit

Two student-artists from High School East, under the direction of art teacher Dianne Shanian, had their artwork selected for inclusion in the Colors of Long Island 2019 Student Art Exhibit. This exhibit showcased the artwork from a variety of Long Island schools, grades K through 12. Junior Isabel Agostinelli worked on a textural portrait that built all the colors and tones out of individual photos to compose the whole portrait. Sophomore Alexandra Lanzon created a painting that centered on the theme of the Industrial Revolution. This exhibit is on display until April 8 at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook.
