Smithtown Central School District is offering parents, employees, and students the chance to provide feedback on district schools in the School Quality Survey. The survey asks for feedback about academics, student support, parent engagement, school operations, school leadership, and more.

“Our goal is to provide a safe, positive school environment that unlocks all students’ highest potential,” said Dr. James Grossane, superintendent of schools. “So, we want to understand what our community thinks our schools do well, and where we should be doing more.”

Employees and parents should check their email for a personal invitation and survey link. Parents can also take the survey by clicking here or going to k12insight.com/SCSDsurvey. Students in grades 6–12 will participate during school.

The parent survey is offered in English, Spanish, Korean, Russian, Chinese, and Urdu.

All surveys are open through February 21, 2017.

The district has partnered with independent research and communications firm K12 Insight to administer the survey. K12 Insight will compile the results, ensuring the confidentiality of all responses. No one in the district will be able to connect a participant to his or her answers.
