Six High School East student-artists in Dianne Shanian’s photography class will have their work featured in the Long Island Advocacy Center’s 2017 calendar.

The Long Island Advocacy Center, which advocates for the legal rights of students and individuals with disabilities, will feature six East student photo montages from Hayley Anderson, Kayla Daneau, Sam Denenberg, Grace Faulhaber, Anthony Fazio and Alexa Ondrush in their upcoming calendar. The artwork was presented at their center’s conference on Nov. 4 to more than 200 attendees.

Donna Hemphill, education advocate for the Long Island Advocacy Center wrote to each student, “Your collage serves to remind us of the special, individual strengths and abilities our students possess. We celebrate your talent and hope that you'll use it as a catalyst to do even greater things.”
