High School East celebrated homecoming on Sept. 24 with a spirit-filled parade and a big win for their team.

Prior to the Bulls game against Riverhead High School, sports teams and clubs from East, Nesaquake and Great Hollow middle schools led a parade down Lake Avenue from St. James Elementary down to the East football field.

The East Bulls came out strong from the start, scoring the first touchdown and leading by 7-0 to end the first quarter. At the end of the first half, the Bulls kept their momentum, staying on top 17-0. As the homecoming crowd of students and alumni cheered them on, East shut down the Riverhead Blue Waves, 24-0.

During halftime, East varsity cheerleaders kicked off the show, followed by a performance by the 17-time National Champion East Whisperettes. The homecoming court nominees were announced and called on to the football field where Gabby Meyers and Kyle DiPietrantonio were named homecoming queen and king.
