Character education is top of mind at Mt. Pleasant as all classes participated in “Team Dawg” workshops on March 8-9.

Team Dawg is the brainchild of local resident and former New York City Police Officer Robert Fortier. Via an animated canine world, which also includes a series of Team Dawg books, its mission is to communicate positive and constructive messages to students while fostering good character development. Students learned that anyone can be an everyday hero and every person has the ability to make positive changes in the world.

After reciting the Team Dawg promise, students became official members of the team, vowing to be courteous and respectful citizens.
