As a kickoff to their Parents As Reading Partners (PARP) initiative, students at Mills Pond were visited by members of the High School East Drama Club on Jan. 29.

The 11th and 12th graders performed a short play for the students to demonstrate how the love of reading can connect to their own emotions. Playing off the Disney movie “Inside Out,” the club showed how anger, joy, fear, disgust and sadness can all be feelings evoked by reading a book.
