Branch Brook Celebrates MLK Day

Branch Brook recognized the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in an assembly featuring songs, poetry and artwork on Jan. 15. The kindergartners came together to sing “Peace Like a River,” followed by the first-grade performance of “Sing About Martin,” featuring colorfully decorated globes and peace signs as props. Holding their paper candles, all of the second-grade classes performed “This Little Light of Mine” and the fifth-grade student council members recited a poem about the impact of Dr. King on the world today.
