In partnership with the Smithtown Central School District’s Wellness Committee, the Anthony’s Hope chapter of the Smithtown Children’s Foundation will host a kickoff fundraiser on Jan. 19. The event, which will feature a karaoke contest in memory of Rose Marie Amato, will take place from 7-11 p.m. at Croxley’s Ale House, 155 West Main St., Smithtown. Cost is $30 per person, $25 per person under 21, and includes appetizers, soft drinks, DJ/karaoke and a Billy Joel raffle. The best karaoke performer will receive two tickets to a Billy Joel concert at Madison Square Garden for a February or March performance of his or her choice.

According to its website, through Anthony’s Hope, the Smithtown Children’s Foundation is filling a void by raising awareness of and providing emotional support to families suffering from anxiety and depression, opioid/heroin addiction and suicide prevention.
